Peackeeper Concepts by AnimatedTako Peackeeper Concepts by AnimatedTako
Series of concepts for a United Nations taskforce, largely comprised of European troops. Done at various different times, then all cleaned up recently. Some of these are 2nd , 3rd or even up to 7th iterations of some of these roles.

They roughly go in order of eliteness, the top row representing conscripted troops donated from various countries and then on down to more specific things (mountain warfare, pilots, crewman, etc.) Lastly, the bottom row represents professional strike forces kept in a state of constant readiness.

Overall, I tried to keep a military police theme. A Metro army, if you will.

Collect them all!

When I first saw it, I thought they were individual idea-pitches; the variety of design philosophies here is really something.

Also, was this made for anything specific, or just for the heck of it?

Thanks! They are intended to fill out the ranks of background characters in a personal story I am working on. Additional consideration was made for their readability at a glance as units in a squad-based RTS game.

Oh neat! If you ever opt to go through with that, you ought to post it here.

Although, regarding readability, while it's easy to distinguish between the three different levels, those closer together would probably be harder to tell apart. Maybe it's because I'm used to TF2's way of doing it, iunno. Though I guess you got it where it counts; more dangerous or important units are relatively easy to tell apart from their lower-level counterparts.

Cool concepts. My favorites are the caped dudes and what looks to be a medic unit.

Whenever I was showing the work in progress around those both got a lot of love. Maybe I should do some illustrations to elaborate on those two in particular?

Go for it, I say. Never hurts in fleshing out characters.
